Important Info
Before you decide to adopt one of our cats, you need to read these pieces of important information. We take care of our cats in a certain way, and we would like you to know the common medical treatments we give them, the best ways to introduce your new cat and take care of them, and what requirements we have for pick ups.
That being said, all CASPR cats are indoor cats only. They can go outside if supervised.
Medical Treatments
All medical treatments are done by our veterinarian, not CASPR itself!
All cats have received deworming and FVRCP vaccines. FVRCP requires a yearly booster and is available at from your veterinarian for a fee.
Because we don’t recommend CASPR Cats to be strictly outdoor cats we have not given them rabies or FeLV vaccines. These vaccines are available from your veterinarian for a fee.
Introducing a New Cat to Your Household
We have exposed all CASPR cats to cats and dogs. If a cat is listed as timid, they may need a longer time to adjust to a dog or kids.
After bringing your new friend home, set them in a room that they can be housed in for a few days by themselves as they adjust to their new environment. Put their food and water dish in their safe room as well as their litter box until your new friend feels comfortable.
Let the cat sit in the room and get used to the sounds in the house. Remember to go in often, talk, and pet the cat to make them feel comfortable. After a day or so, open the door a little for the cat to wander around the house to explore. Leave the door open a crack so the cat can return to their safe room if they get scared.
By doing a slow introduction to your household and family, your cat will become a beloved family member and get used to the household much quicker!
Adoption Pick Up Requirements
You will need to bring your own cat carrier when picking up a cat for adoption. They must be safe in a carrier, otherwise we won't let them be carried out.
Agreement Contract
CASPR cats cannot be declawed per our contract agreement.
